Wendy’s Holiday Hours 2026: Thanksgiving, Christmas & More

Planning to grab a burger, chicken nuggets, or a Frosty during the holidays? Knowing Wendy’s holiday hours before leaving home can help you avoid arriving at a closed restaurant or finding that your nearest location has reduced operating hours.

Wendy’s does not follow one universal holiday schedule across all its U.S. restaurants. Some locations remain open on major holidays, while others may operate on different schedules or close entirely.

In its official holiday guidance published in December 2025, Wendy’s confirmed that many restaurants operate during holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. However, individual locations determine their actual availability.

This guide explains what is confirmed for 2026, which holiday schedules still require local verification, and how to check your nearest Wendy’s before visiting.

Quick Answer

Wendy’s is open on many holidays, but exact holiday hours vary by location. Wendy’s official holiday guidance includes Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day among holidays when locations may operate. However, the company does not guarantee that every restaurant will open on those dates. For 2026, specific nationwide opening and closing times have not been confirmed. Use Wendy’s official location finder or mobile app to check your selected restaurant.

Wendy’s Holiday Hours 2026 at a Glance

Wendy’s official holiday guidance identifies several major holidays when restaurants may be open. However, it does not establish a guaranteed nationwide schedule for individual holidays.

The following table separates confirmed company guidance from location-specific information that still requires verification.

Important: Location-dependent does not mean every Wendy’s restaurant will open. It means the company has not provided a universal opening or closing requirement for the holiday.

The table reflects Wendy’s official holiday guidance available as of October 17, 2026, supplemented by the 2026 holiday calendar. Exact schedules for upcoming holidays should be confirmed closer to the date.

Is Wendy’s Open on Thanksgiving 2026?

Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 26, 2026.

Wendy’s includes Thanksgiving among the holidays covered by its official operating-hours guidance. The company states that many locations remain open during holidays, but their schedules differ.

This means you may find a Wendy’s operating on Thanksgiving, although opening is not guaranteed at every restaurant.

What Time Does Wendy’s Open on Thanksgiving?

There is no confirmed nationwide Thanksgiving opening time for 2026.

Your selected restaurant may have a different schedule from its usual Thursday hours. Regular operating hours should not be treated as confirmation of Thanksgiving availability.

Before visiting, check the restaurant’s official listing and confirm its Thanksgiving schedule directly if necessary.

Does Wendy’s Serve Its Regular Menu on Thanksgiving?

Wendy’s has not established a universal Thanksgiving-specific menu availability schedule in its published holiday guidance.

If your selected restaurant is open, check its current ordering menu to see which items are available. Breakfast availability, individual products, and ordering options should not be assumed from the restaurant’s general holiday opening status.

Is Wendy’s Open on Christmas Day 2026?

Christmas Day falls on Friday, December 25, 2026.

Wendy’s official holiday guidance includes Christmas among the holidays when some restaurants may operate. However, the company does not confirm that all Wendy’s locations will open on Christmas Day.

Christmas Day availability must be verified individually.

A restaurant that normally opens on Fridays may still have an entirely different schedule on December 25.

What Are Wendy’s Christmas Day Hours?

Wendy’s has not published a universal Christmas Day opening and closing schedule for 2026.

The most reliable approach is to check the specific location closer to Christmas and contact the restaurant if its holiday schedule is unclear.

Do not rely solely on ordinary Friday hours because those hours may not reflect Christmas Day operations.

Is Wendy’s Open on Christmas Eve 2026?

Christmas Eve falls on Thursday, December 24, 2026.

Christmas Eve is specifically included in Wendy’s official holiday information. Many restaurants may operate during the holiday season, although individual schedules remain location-dependent.

Does Wendy’s Close Early on Christmas Eve?

An early closing time has not been established as a nationwide Wendy’s requirement for Christmas Eve 2026.

Individual restaurants may announce special hours. Check the opening and closing times of your preferred restaurant rather than assuming its regular Thursday schedule will apply.

Wendy’s New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day Hours

Wendy’s includes both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day in its published holiday-hours guidance.

Although restaurants may operate on these dates, their schedules are not guaranteed to match regular business hours.

New Year’s Eve 2026

New Year’s Eve falls on Thursday, December 31, 2026.

Wendy’s has not confirmed one nationwide closing time for that evening. Restaurant availability depends on the selected location.

If you are planning a late-night meal, verify the closing time for December 31 rather than relying on a restaurant’s ordinary late-night schedule.

New Year’s Day 2027

New Year’s Day falls on Friday, January 1, 2027.

Wendy’s holiday guidance identifies New Year’s Day as a holiday when restaurants may operate, but no universal 2027 opening time has been established.

Check the individual restaurant’s schedule before planning an early breakfast, lunch, or late-night visit.

Is Wendy’s Open on Easter, July 4th, and Labor Day?

Wendy’s official holiday guidance also covers several holidays outside the Thanksgiving and Christmas season.

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday fell on April 5 in 2026.

Wendy’s identifies Easter among the holidays when restaurants may be open, but its published guidance does not guarantee universal opening.

Specific Easter schedules depend on individual restaurants.

Independence Day

Independence Day fell on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

Wendy’s includes Independence Day in its holiday guidance. However, an identical July 4 schedule is not established for all locations.

Weekend operating hours are not necessarily the same as holiday operating hours.

Labor Day

Labor Day fell on Monday, September 7, 2026.

Wendy’s lists Labor Day among the holidays addressed by its operating-hours guidance. Actual availability remains subject to location-specific schedules.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day fell on Monday, May 25, 2026.

A uniform nationwide Memorial Day schedule is not confirmed in the official holiday guidance reviewed for this article.

Customers should verify the operating hours of their preferred restaurant for Memorial Day rather than assume all locations follow normal Monday hours.

Does Wendy’s Have Different Holiday Hours by Location?

Yes. Wendy’s explicitly states that restaurant hours may differ by location, including on holidays.

This is particularly important because two Wendy’s restaurants can have different standard operating schedules even before holiday changes are considered.

For example, official location information shows the following regular hours at selected Pennsylvania restaurants:

These hours were reviewed from official Wendy’s location listings in October 2026.

The comparison demonstrates how ordinary restaurant schedules can differ, even within one state.

These are regular operating hours, not confirmed Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s hours. Every location in the table carries a warning that holiday hours may vary.

Customers should therefore check the exact restaurant they plan to visit rather than depend on general chainwide expectations.

Are Wendy’s Drive-Thru Hours Different on Holidays?

Wendy’s drive-thru hours depend on the selected restaurant.

Official Wendy’s location pages can show separate schedules for the restaurant and its drive-thru. Some locations publish matching regular hours for both services, but this does not establish a nationwide rule.

During holidays, you should confirm whether the drive-thru is operating and what time it closes.

A restaurant listing that displays normal drive-thru hours is not, by itself, confirmation that those hours apply on Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Does Wendy’s Serve Breakfast on Holidays?

Wendy’s offers breakfast at designated locations, but holiday breakfast availability has not been confirmed under one nationwide schedule.

A restaurant might operate during a holiday without necessarily offering its normal breakfast service.

If you are planning to visit Wendy’s for breakfast on Christmas Eve, Thanksgiving, or New Year’s Day, check both the restaurant’s opening time and its breakfast availability.

Is Wendy’s Breakfast Available on Christmas Day?

There is no universal guarantee of Christmas Day breakfast service.

Confirm that your selected Wendy’s is open and that its breakfast menu is available during your intended visit.

Can You Order Lunch or Dinner on Holidays?

Lunch and dinner availability depend on whether the restaurant is operating and which menu items are offered at that time.

Wendy’s holiday guidance does not guarantee identical menu availability at every restaurant on major holidays.

The selected location’s current ordering system is a useful way to check available food before placing an order.

Can You Order Wendy’s Delivery or Pickup on Holidays?

Wendy’s supports multiple ordering methods at participating restaurants, including pickup and delivery.

However, the availability of these services on holidays depends on the restaurant and the ordering options currently offered.

A restaurant being open does not automatically establish that delivery will be available throughout its operating hours.

When planning a holiday order, select your restaurant through Wendy’s official ordering system and check the available fulfillment options.

If your preferred ordering method is unavailable, that does not necessarily mean the restaurant itself is closed.

How to Check Wendy’s Holiday Hours Near You

Wendy’s recommends its official restaurant location finder and mobile app for the most up-to-date operating-hour information.

Here is how to verify the schedule of a specific restaurant.

1. Open Wendy’s official website and access the restaurant location finder.
2. Enter your city, state, or ZIP code.
3. Select the restaurant you plan to visit.
4. Review the displayed restaurant and drive-thru hours.
5. Look for any holiday-hours notices or special schedules.
6. Check the Wendy’s app for current ordering availability.
7. Contact the restaurant directly if the holiday schedule is not clearly displayed.

Google Maps may provide an additional reference, but it should not replace direct confirmation when holiday hours are uncertain.

Why Regular Hours May Be Misleading

Regular operating hours typically describe a restaurant’s standard schedule.

Holiday operating hours may differ because the restaurant has adopted a special schedule for a particular date.

For example, a Wendy’s location listed as open until 2:00 AM on ordinary Fridays is not necessarily open until 2:00 AM on Christmas Day.

Similarly, the presence of breakfast, delivery, or drive-thru service on a location page does not automatically confirm availability during a holiday.

Can You Check Holiday Availability in the Wendy’s App?

Yes. Wendy’s officially recommends its mobile app as a way to check local restaurant information.

The app also supports mobile ordering, allowing customers to select a restaurant and view ordering options.

When checking holiday availability, pay attention to the selected restaurant because menu choices and available services can differ.

If a holiday schedule is not displayed clearly, direct confirmation with the restaurant remains the safest option.

Official Wendy’s restaurant location pages were also reviewed to confirm regular opening hours, drive-thru information, and location-specific holiday-hours notices.

The company confirms that many Wendy’s restaurants operate during holidays, but it does not provide a universal schedule that guarantees opening on every major holiday.

Before You Go

Wendy’s holiday hours in 2026 depend on the specific restaurant you plan to visit. Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day are all covered by Wendy’s official holiday guidance, but no single opening or closing schedule applies nationwide.

Before leaving home, check your selected restaurant through Wendy’s official location finder or app. For major holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, confirm the hours directly to avoid an unnecessary trip.
