Denny’s Holiday Hours 2026: Thanksgiving, Christmas & More
Denny’s is known for serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the year, including major holidays. Whether you’re planning Thanksgiving dinner, looking for breakfast on Christmas morning, or celebrating New Year’s Day, knowing Denny’s holiday hours can help you avoid an unnecessary trip.
Denny’s generally operates year-round, and its official location pages describe the restaurant chain as open 365 days a year, including Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. However, not every Denny’s location operates 24 hours, and individual restaurants may have different schedules during holidays.
This guide explains Denny’s holiday hours for 2026, which holidays are generally covered by its year-round operating policy, and how to verify your nearest restaurant’s opening and closing times.
Quick Answer
Denny’s is generally open on major holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Day, and New Year’s Eve. The company’s official location information describes year-round service, but specific holiday operating hours vary by restaurant.
Some locations operate 24 hours, while others follow shorter schedules. Denny’s has not established one universal opening and closing time for every restaurant during the 2026 holidays. Confirm your selected location’s schedule before visiting, especially on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Denny’s Holiday Hours 2026 at a Glance
Denny’s year-round operating policy provides useful guidance about holiday availability. However, the following table should not be interpreted as a verified schedule for every individual restaurant.

Important: The statuses above reflect Denny’s general year-round operating approach, not individually confirmed 2026 holiday schedules. A restaurant’s exact hours, including any special holiday adjustments, must be verified locally.
Is Denny’s Open on Thanksgiving 2026?
Yes, Denny’s generally remains open on Thanksgiving Day.
In 2026, Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 26.
Denny’s has previously promoted Thanksgiving dining and holiday meals, and its November 2025 corporate announcement specifically advised customers to check their local restaurant for Thanksgiving dine-in hours.
That distinction matters because being open on Thanksgiving does not automatically mean a restaurant will operate its normal schedule.
What Time Does Denny’s Open on Thanksgiving?
There is no single nationwide Thanksgiving opening time confirmed for 2026.
A Denny’s restaurant operating 24 hours may remain open overnight, while another location may follow a more limited schedule.
Before visiting, confirm:
- Whether the restaurant will open on Thanksgiving.
- Its holiday opening and closing times.
- Whether dine-in service is available during your intended visit.
- Whether any holiday-specific meals are being offered.
Does Denny’s Serve Thanksgiving Dinner?
Denny’s has offered Thanksgiving-themed meals in previous holiday seasons.
Its 2025 holiday announcement included a Turkey and Dressing Dinner featuring turkey breast, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, sides, and dinner bread.
The company also advertised take-home Holiday Turkey Bundles for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
However, these were 2025 seasonal offerings, not automatically confirmed 2026 menu items.
Customers planning Thanksgiving dinner in 2026 should review the current seasonal menu and their selected restaurant’s availability rather than assuming previous holiday meals have returned.
Is Denny’s Open on Christmas Day 2026?
Yes, Denny’s generally offers service on Christmas Day.
Christmas Day falls on Friday, December 25, 2026.
Denny’s official location FAQs identify Christmas Day as part of its year-round operating schedule. That makes the chain a potential dining option for customers seeking a restaurant on December 25.
However, the official holiday guidance also directs customers to confirm hours with their local restaurant.
Is Denny’s Open 24 Hours on Christmas Day?
Not necessarily.
Although Denny’s is associated with 24-hour dining, its corporate FAQ clearly states that operating hours vary by location.
For Christmas Day, this means:
- A 24-hour location may offer overnight dining.
- A location with limited daily hours may operate on a different schedule.
- Special Christmas hours cannot be assumed without local confirmation.
If you’re planning an early breakfast, late dinner, or overnight visit on Christmas Day, verify the restaurant’s schedule directly.
Is Denny’s Open on Christmas Eve 2026?
Denny’s generally operates on Christmas Eve, which falls on Thursday, December 24, 2026.
However, a chain-wide Christmas Eve closing time has not been confirmed.
Customers should avoid assuming that every location follows its usual Thursday schedule.
Christmas Eve also matters for seasonal take-home meal orders. In 2025, Denny’s designated December 24 as the final pickup day for its Christmas Holiday Turkey Bundles.
That deadline applied to the previous year’s promotion and should not be treated as a confirmed date for 2026.
Denny’s New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day Hours
Denny’s official year-round operating information includes New Year’s Day, but exact schedules depend on the restaurant.
New Year’s Eve: December 31, 2026
New Year’s Eve falls on Thursday.
Denny’s generally remains open, although there is no universal confirmed New Year’s Eve closing time.
Customers planning a late-night meal should check whether their selected restaurant operates overnight.
New Year’s Day: January 1, 2027
New Year’s Day falls on Friday.
Denny’s official location pages specifically identify New Year’s Day as a day when restaurants offer service.
However, a restaurant’s holiday schedule may differ from its ordinary Friday hours.
If you intend to eat shortly after midnight on New Year’s Day, confirm that the location will remain open through the transition from December 31 to January 1.
Is Denny’s Open on Easter, Memorial Day, and July 4th?
Denny’s general year-round operating policy also covers holidays outside the Thanksgiving and Christmas season.
Easter Sunday
Easter Sunday falls on April 5, 2026.
Denny’s year-round service policy makes Easter dining generally available, subject to individual restaurant hours.
There is no universally confirmed Easter breakfast, brunch, or dinner schedule applicable to all Denny’s restaurants.
Memorial Day
Memorial Day falls on Monday, May 25, 2026.
Denny’s generally operates on this holiday. Customers should use their selected location’s schedule to confirm the hours.
Independence Day
Independence Day falls on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
Denny’s year-round operating approach includes July 4, but exact holiday opening and closing times are location-specific.
Labor Day
Labor Day falls on Monday, September 7, 2026.
Denny’s generally remains available for dining during the holiday, although no universal Labor Day hours are confirmed for every restaurant.
Does Denny’s Stay Open 24 Hours During Holidays?
Denny’s is well known for 24-hour dining, but the company does not guarantee identical operating hours at every restaurant.
Its official FAQ states that hours vary by location.
This is especially important during holidays because three separate questions need to be answered:
| Question | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Is the restaurant open on the holiday? | Whether the location provides service that day |
| Is the restaurant open 24 hours? | Whether it operates continuously throughout the day and night |
| Are holiday hours different? | Whether the restaurant has changed its normal schedule for the occasion |
A restaurant listed as open on Christmas Day, for example, should not automatically be considered available at midnight.
Similarly, a regular 24-hour listing is not a substitute for confirming the restaurant’s specific holiday schedule.
Do Denny’s Holiday Hours Vary by Location?
Yes. Individual Denny’s locations can have different operating hours, and holiday schedules require local verification.
The company’s official FAQ makes this clear by directing customers to check their nearest restaurant’s hours rather than relying on a single nationwide schedule.
Differences may involve daily opening times, closing times, overnight service, or holiday adjustments.
What Official Location Pages Confirm
Official Denny’s location pages for restaurants in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Dallas, Texas; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Phoenix, Arizona include a general statement about operating 365 days a year, including Christmas and New Year’s Day.
Those pages also tell customers to contact their local restaurant to confirm hours.
This establishes a useful distinction: the chain promotes year-round availability, but an individual restaurant’s specific holiday schedule still needs confirmation.
Does Denny’s Serve Its Regular Menu on Holidays?
Denny’s official location information describes a menu with breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, including meals available throughout the day at applicable restaurants.
However, the chain does not establish one universally confirmed menu for every location during every holiday.
Breakfast Options
Denny’s location pages feature breakfast selections such as Signature Breakfast Slams and Sizzlin’ Breakfast Skillets.
Breakfast availability depends on whether the restaurant is open and whether the item is offered at that location.
Lunch and Dinner Options
Denny’s also advertises menu categories including burgers, melts, handhelds, and other diner meals.
Customers planning lunch or dinner on a holiday should check the selected restaurant’s current ordering menu.
Seasonal Holiday Meals
Denny’s has previously introduced limited-time holiday dishes.
For the 2025 holiday season, the company advertised the Turkey Feast Sandwich, Turkey and Dressing Dinner, and Holiday Turkey Bundle.
Those specific seasonal promotions should not be assumed to continue into the 2026 holiday season without a new announcement.
Does Denny’s Have Special Thanksgiving or Christmas Deals?
Denny’s has previously introduced seasonal food packages and gift card promotions around Thanksgiving and Christmas.
For example, the company announced several offers during November 2025, including holiday meal bundles and limited-time gift card incentives.
Those promotions were associated with specified ordering dates, redemption conditions, and participating locations.
A previous holiday deal is not proof that the same promotion is active in 2026.
For current holiday promotions, check Denny’s official promotional announcements or the offers displayed for your selected restaurant.
Prices and participation may differ by location.
Can You Order Denny’s Delivery or Takeout on Holidays?
Denny’s offers delivery and pickup services at participating restaurants.
Its corporate FAQ confirms that many locations offer delivery, while official location pages also provide online ordering information.
However, the availability of these services on an individual holiday is not guaranteed.
Holiday Takeout
A restaurant may offer pickup through its ordering system, but customers should confirm that the desired pickup time is available.
Restaurant operating hours and online ordering availability should not automatically be treated as identical.
Holiday Delivery
Delivery availability depends on the selected restaurant and its available delivery service.
Even when a restaurant is open for dine-in service, delivery may not necessarily be offered throughout the same period.
Customers should check the actual ordering options before making holiday meal plans.
How to Check Denny’s Holiday Hours Near You
The most reliable way to verify Denny’s holiday hours is through official, location-specific information.
Follow these steps:
- Open Denny’s official website and find the restaurant locator.
- Search using your city, state, or ZIP code.
- Select the restaurant you intend to visit.
- Review its published business hours.
- Look for any holiday-specific schedule information.
- Call the restaurant directly if holiday hours are not clearly displayed.
You can also check the restaurant’s current ordering availability through Denny’s official ordering system.
Google Maps may provide a useful secondary reference, but it should not replace direct confirmation when special holiday hours are uncertain.
For Thanksgiving and Christmas, calling your selected restaurant is particularly useful because Denny’s holiday announcements specifically advise checking local dine-in hours.
Can You Check Denny’s Holiday Hours in the App?
Denny’s mobile app supports restaurant-related ordering features, including selecting locations and placing orders for eligible services.
The company has also promoted app features for pickup, delivery, rewards, and saving favorite orders.
These features can help customers review ordering options associated with a particular restaurant.
However, the availability of mobile ordering should not be interpreted as confirmation that a restaurant will follow its normal schedule on a major holiday.
For exact holiday opening and closing times, verify the location’s business hours and contact the restaurant when necessary.
Sources & Verification
This guide was reviewed on October 22, 2026, using Denny’s official corporate FAQ, individual restaurant location pages, and the company’s November 12, 2025 holiday announcement.
