Starbucks Holiday Hours 2026: Thanksgiving, Christmas & More
Starbucks holiday hours in 2026 depend heavily on the individual coffeehouse. Starbucks confirms that most U.S. coffeehouses remain open on many major holidays, but Thanksgiving and Christmas can bring reduced hours or closures.
The biggest exception is Christmas Day: some Starbucks coffeehouses open with shorter schedules, while others close completely. Licensed Starbucks locations inside airports, grocery stores, malls, hotels, hospitals, and other properties may also follow different operating schedules. Because there is no single nationwide holiday timetable, checking your specific coffeehouse before leaving is important.
Quick Answer
Most Starbucks coffeehouses are open on many major U.S. holidays in 2026, including New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day. Most are also open on Thanksgiving, often with reduced hours. Christmas Day is less consistent: some coffeehouses open, generally with shorter hours, while others close.
For exact holiday opening and closing times, check your selected Starbucks in the official Starbucks app or store locator.

Is Starbucks Open on Thanksgiving 2026?
Yes, most Starbucks coffeehouses are expected to be open on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2026, based on Starbucks’ current holiday guidance.
However, Starbucks specifically notes that Thanksgiving locations often operate with reduced hours. There is no universal Thanksgiving opening or closing time that applies to every U.S. Starbucks.
This makes the individual store schedule more important than the chainwide open status. Check the Starbucks app or official location information shortly before your visit.
Is Starbucks Open on Christmas Day 2026?
Starbucks does not have a universal open-or-closed policy for every coffeehouse on Christmas Day.
According to Starbucks’ current holiday guidance, some coffeehouses are open on Christmas Day while others are closed. Open locations generally have more limited hours.
For Friday, December 25, 2026, do not assume your regular Starbucks schedule will apply. Check the specific coffeehouse you plan to visit before traveling.
Is Starbucks Open on Christmas Eve 2026?
Starbucks’ current U.S. holiday guidance does not provide one universal Christmas Eve schedule for all coffeehouses.
Christmas Eve hours should therefore be treated as location-specific rather than assuming a nationwide opening or closing time. Check December 24 hours for your selected coffeehouse in the Starbucks app or official store information.
Is Starbucks Open on New Year’s Day?
Most Starbucks coffeehouses are open on New Year’s Day.
Starbucks’ official holiday information indicates that customers can usually find most coffeehouses operating on January 1. Exact opening and closing times can still differ by store.
If you are visiting early in the morning or later in the evening, confirm the location’s January 1 schedule first.
Is Starbucks Open on New Year’s Eve?
Most Starbucks coffeehouses are open on New Year’s Eve, but Starbucks notes that some locations may use adjusted hours.
That means a coffeehouse that normally stays open late should not automatically be expected to follow its regular closing time on December 31.
Check the Starbucks app or the selected store’s official information for its New Year’s Eve schedule.
Is Starbucks Open on Easter 2026?
Most Starbucks coffeehouses are open on Easter, according to Starbucks’ official holiday guidance.
For Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, exact hours can still change according to the individual location. Starbucks does not publish one Easter opening and closing schedule covering every U.S. coffeehouse.
Is Starbucks Open on Memorial Day 2026?
Most Starbucks coffeehouses are open on Memorial Day.
Starbucks indicates that Memorial Day schedules are generally close to normal, but this does not guarantee identical hours at every coffeehouse.
Memorial Day falls on Monday, May 25, 2026.
Is Starbucks Open on July 4, 2026?
Most Starbucks coffeehouses are open on Independence Day.
For Saturday, July 4, 2026, the safest approach is still to verify the individual location because holiday schedules can vary.
A store being open on July 4 does not necessarily mean it will follow exactly the same hours as a regular Saturday.
Is Starbucks Open on Labor Day 2026?
Most Starbucks coffeehouses are open on Labor Day. Starbucks says schedules are typically similar to normal hours on this holiday.
Labor Day falls on Monday, September 7, 2026. Individual location schedules can still differ, particularly at stores operating within another business or property.
Other Holidays When Starbucks Is Typically Open
Starbucks’ current U.S. holiday guidance also identifies several other holidays when coffeehouses are typically open, including:
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Presidents’ Day
- Juneteenth
Exact opening and closing times are not guaranteed chainwide. The individual coffeehouse schedule remains the most useful source when planning a holiday visit.
Do Starbucks Holiday Hours Vary by Location?
Yes. Location differences are one of the most important things to understand about Starbucks holiday hours.
Starbucks states that holiday schedules can vary because of location, staffing, and local conditions. The type of location can matter as well.
Coffeehouses in places such as airports, hospitals, and hotels may operate on schedules different from standard neighborhood coffeehouses. Starbucks locations inside grocery stores, malls, offices, and other businesses may also follow the operating hours of the property in which they are located.
This means two nearby Starbucks locations may have different holiday schedules.
Starbucks Holiday Hours vs. Regular Store Hours
Regular operating hours should not automatically be used as holiday hours.
A Starbucks location might normally be open during a particular period but shorten its schedule for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, or another holiday.
Similarly, seeing regular hours on a general business listing does not necessarily confirm the special holiday schedule.
When planning a holiday visit, look specifically at the date you intend to visit rather than relying on the coffeehouse’s usual weekly schedule.
How to Check Starbucks Holiday Hours Near You
For the most reliable local answer, check your individual coffeehouse as close to your visit as practical.
- Open the official Starbucks store locator and select the exact coffeehouse.
- Check the Starbucks app for current location information and seasonal hours.
- Review the information shown for your selected location and date.
- If holiday hours remain unclear, call the coffeehouse directly.
- Use Google Maps as a secondary check rather than the sole confirmation.
Pay attention to the exact location. In areas with several Starbucks coffeehouses, each one can have a different schedule.
Check Holiday Hours in the Starbucks App
The Starbucks app can be particularly useful during holidays because customers can select a coffeehouse and view location information and seasonal hours.
Where supported, the app also provides mobile ordering. However, the availability of mobile ordering should not be treated as a guarantee that every store, menu item, or ordering method will be available throughout a holiday.
Select your intended coffeehouse before relying on the information displayed.
Are Starbucks Holiday Menu Hours Different?
Holiday operating hours and the Starbucks holiday menu are two different things.
A coffeehouse being open on a holiday does not automatically mean every seasonal product will be available. Seasonal drinks, food, and merchandise can have their own launch dates and availability periods, and individual products may be offered only while supplies last.
As of October 2, 2026, Starbucks’ official 2026 holiday-hours guidance is available, but a complete 2026 U.S. holiday-menu launch and product lineup should not be assumed from previous seasons.
In 2025, Starbucks launched its U.S. holiday menu on November 6, but that historical date should not be treated as confirmation of the 2026 launch schedule.
Holiday Drive-Thru, Pickup, and Delivery Availability
Ordering options can differ from the coffeehouse’s general operating schedule.
A location may support drive-thru or mobile ordering, while another nearby location may not. Delivery is also available only in supported areas and through participating locations.
During holidays, check the specific service you plan to use instead of assuming that an open coffeehouse guarantees drive-thru, pickup, mobile ordering, or delivery for its entire operating day.
Why Starbucks Holiday Hours Can Be Different
Starbucks identifies several reasons holiday schedules may differ between coffeehouses, including:
- Individual location schedules
- Staffing
- Local operating conditions
- The type of property where the coffeehouse operates
- Schedules followed by host businesses at licensed locations
This is particularly important for Starbucks coffeehouses located inside grocery stores, malls, airports, hotels, hospitals, and offices.
Sources & Verification
This guide was checked on October 2, 2026, against Starbucks’ official 2026 U.S. holiday-hours guidance, official Starbucks ordering and location information, and current Starbucks corporate information.
Starbucks confirms that most coffeehouses are open on many major holidays, while Thanksgiving can involve reduced schedules and Christmas Day has more limited availability. Exact holiday hours remain location-specific, so the Starbucks app and official store information should be used for the final check.
Historical Starbucks holiday-menu information is identified as historical and is not presented as confirmation of the 2026 seasonal menu.
