Panera Bread Holiday Hours 2026: Open & Closed Holidays

Panera Bread holiday hours can change depending on the holiday and the individual bakery-cafe. The most important dates to plan around are Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, while hours for Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Easter, and other holidays may depend on your selected location.

Because Panera does not publish one universal opening-and-closing schedule covering every bakery-cafe for every 2026 holiday, checking the specific cafe you plan to visit is important—especially before making a special trip or placing a holiday order.

Quick Answer

Panera Bread bakery-cafes are generally closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Panera’s own Thanksgiving information specifically states that its cafes close for the holiday so associates can spend time with friends and family.

For many other holidays, including New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve, exact opening and closing times should be confirmed for your selected bakery-cafe. There is no reliable universal 2026 holiday timetable that applies to every Panera location.

Panera Bread Holiday Hours 2026 at a Glance

The table intentionally does not assign nationwide opening and closing times where Panera has not publicly confirmed a universal schedule. This distinction is important because normal cafe hours, holiday hours, ordering availability, and delivery availability are not necessarily identical.

Is Panera Bread Open on Thanksgiving?

Panera’s official Thanksgiving information states that its cafes are closed for the holiday so associates can spend time with friends and family.

In 2026, Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, November 26.

If you are planning to serve Panera bakery items, sides, desserts, or other food as part of a Thanksgiving gathering, do not assume you can purchase them on Thanksgiving Day itself. Arrange your order and pickup beforehand and confirm availability with your selected cafe.

Panera’s Thanksgiving content also discusses catering and group orders, but availability should be checked in advance rather than assumed for the holiday itself.

Is Panera Bread Open on Christmas Day?

Regular Panera bakery-cafes should generally be treated as closed on Christmas Day, December 25.

However, Panera’s current public information does not provide a detailed nationwide 2026 Christmas schedule listing the exact status and hours of every individual cafe.

If your intended location is in an airport, hospital, travel facility, or another nontraditional setting, verify its schedule directly rather than relying on the hours of a standard neighborhood bakery-cafe.

Panera Bread Christmas Eve Hours

Christmas Eve falls on Thursday, December 24, 2026.

Do not assume that your local Panera will maintain its usual weekday closing time on Christmas Eve. Holiday schedules can differ by cafe, and Panera has not published one universal Christmas Eve closing time that can safely be applied to every U.S. location.

Before visiting, select your specific bakery-cafe through Panera’s official location information or ordering system and review the hours shown for December 24.

This is particularly important for evening visits because a cafe operating during the day could still use an adjusted closing time.

Panera Bread New Year’s Eve Hours

New Year’s Eve falls on Thursday, December 31, 2026.

Panera does not provide a single nationwide New Year’s Eve opening-and-closing time for every bakery-cafe. Your selected location may follow its normal schedule or an adjusted holiday schedule.

If you need an evening pickup on December 31, verify the cafe’s closing time before ordering rather than relying on its regular Thursday schedule.

Is Panera Bread Open on New Year’s Day?

Many Panera locations have historically operated on New Year’s Day, but the exact schedule is location-dependent. Current 2026 reporting likewise indicates that hours can differ by cafe.

New Year’s Day in 2026 fell on Thursday, January 1.

The safest approach is to check the selected cafe directly. A location being open does not necessarily mean it follows its regular weekday opening and closing times.

Panera Bread Easter Hours

Easter Sunday fell on April 5, 2026.

A single official nationwide Easter opening-and-closing schedule is not publicly confirmed for every Panera bakery-cafe. Because Sunday schedules already differ among locations, Easter hours should be checked at the cafe level.

Do not use another Panera location’s Easter schedule as confirmation for yours.

Panera Bread Memorial Day Hours

Memorial Day fell on Monday, May 25, 2026.

Panera has not published a universal 2026 Memorial Day schedule that establishes identical hours at every bakery-cafe. Check your selected cafe for its opening time, closing time, and available ordering services before visiting.

Panera Bread Fourth of July Hours

Independence Day fell on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

Exact Fourth of July hours can depend on the bakery-cafe. Panera does not provide one nationwide July 4 opening-and-closing schedule that should be applied to every location.

If you are planning a pickup for a July 4 gathering, check the cafe’s actual holiday schedule when ordering.

Panera Bread Labor Day Hours

Labor Day fell on Monday, September 7, 2026.

Customers should verify Labor Day hours for their selected bakery-cafe rather than assuming regular Monday hours. The absence of a nationwide holiday closing policy for Labor Day does not guarantee identical operating hours at every location.

Do Panera Bread Holiday Hours Vary by Location?

Yes. Panera’s own services emphasize checking the local cafe for specific hours. For example, its delivery information ties ordering availability to the operating hours of the selected cafe, while its dinner information tells customers to check their local cafe for specific hours.

This distinction becomes particularly important around holidays.

Several things may differ from one location to another:

• Opening time
• Closing time
• Online ordering availability
• Delivery availability
• Drive-thru availability where offered
• Menu availability
• Catering availability

A nearby Panera also should not automatically be used as evidence of your selected cafe’s holiday schedule.

Regular Cafe Hours vs. Holiday Hours

A Panera cafe’s normal weekly schedule should not automatically be treated as its holiday schedule.

For example, a bakery-cafe that normally operates until the evening on Thursdays could have a different schedule when Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve falls on a Thursday.

There is also an important difference between several types of times shown online:

Always verify the type of schedule you are viewing.

How to Check Panera Bread Holiday Hours Near You

The most reliable approach is to verify the exact bakery-cafe you intend to visit.

1. Use Panera Bread’s official cafe locator.
2. Select the specific bakery-cafe.
3. Review its displayed operating hours.
4. Check the Panera app or ordering system for current pickup availability.
5. Call the bakery-cafe if holiday hours remain unclear.
6. Use third-party map listings only as a secondary check.

Panera Customer Care also lists cafe hours and delivery availability among the topics it handles.

Checking the actual cafe matters more than finding a generic “Panera holiday hours” timetable because the latter may not reflect temporary holiday adjustments.

Check Holiday Availability in the Panera App

Panera operates mobile and online ordering services, and selecting your bakery-cafe can help you determine what is currently available at that location.

This can be particularly useful around holidays because menu and ordering availability can differ by cafe. Panera itself notes that bakery-cafe and catering menus can vary by location.

However, seeing an item in an app should not be confused with confirmation that the restaurant will operate its normal hours on an upcoming holiday. Check the cafe’s actual schedule separately.

Panera Holiday Delivery Availability

Panera offers delivery, but delivery availability depends on the selected cafe and location. Panera states that delivery times are connected to cafe operating hours and that delivery is not necessarily available everywhere.

That becomes especially relevant during holidays.

If a cafe is closed, its normal direct ordering options should not be assumed to operate. Even when a cafe is open, its delivery window may not necessarily match the full dine-in schedule.

For a holiday delivery order, select your address and bakery-cafe first and review the ordering window actually offered.

Panera Holiday Menu Availability

Holiday operating hours and a holiday-themed menu are separate issues.

Panera periodically releases seasonal food and beverages. For example, Panera launched a nationwide fall menu in September 2026, following another seasonal bakery and beverage release in August.

Seasonal availability does not mean every item remains available throughout the entire holiday season. Menu selection can also vary by cafe.

For current holiday-period food, beverages, bakery items, or catering options, use the menu associated with your selected bakery-cafe rather than relying on a previous year’s seasonal promotion.

Planning Panera Catering Around a Holiday

Holiday catering requires more planning than an ordinary cafe visit.

Panera offers catering and group-order options, and its Thanksgiving information specifically discusses catering as an option for gatherings. However, a catering offering does not override a holiday closure or guarantee that every pickup date and time will be available.

For Thanksgiving, Christmas, or another major gathering:

• Choose your bakery-cafe first.
• Check its holiday operating schedule.
• Review current catering availability.
• Select an available pickup or delivery window.
• Place time-sensitive orders before the holiday rather than assuming same-day service.

Availability can change by cafe and date, so the ordering system for your selected location is the most useful place to confirm current options.

Sources & Verification

This guide was checked against Panera Bread’s official cafe, menu, delivery, holiday, customer-care, and current company information available as of October 2026. Panera’s official Thanksgiving information provides the clearest direct holiday-closure statement, while many other holiday opening and closing times remain location-specific rather than part of a publicly posted universal 2026 timetable.

Where Panera has not publicly confirmed an exact nationwide holiday schedule, no specific opening or closing time has been assigned.
