Outback Steakhouse Holiday Hours 2026: Open and Closed Days
Planning to enjoy a steak dinner during the holidays? Knowing the Outback Steakhouse holiday hours can help you avoid arriving when your local restaurant is closed or operating on a reduced schedule.
Outback Steakhouse generally operates on many U.S. holidays, but Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day are major exceptions. For 2026, the chain is reported to be closing its U.S. restaurants on both holidays. Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve may involve different operating hours depending on the restaurant.
Regular opening and closing times also differ between locations. Before arranging a holiday lunch, family dinner, or takeout order, it is important to check the schedule of the specific Outback Steakhouse you plan to visit.
Quick Answer
Outback Steakhouse is scheduled to close on Thanksgiving Day (November 26, 2026) and Christmas Day (December 25, 2026) across its U.S. restaurants. The chain serves customers on many other holidays, although exact hours are location-dependent. Christmas Eve may have reduced hours, while New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day schedules should be checked individually. Outback’s official restaurant locator is the most reliable starting point for confirming local operating hours.

Is Outback Steakhouse Open on Thanksgiving 2026?
No. Outback Steakhouse is reported to be closing its U.S. restaurants on Thursday, November 26, 2026, for Thanksgiving Day.
The closure means customers should not plan on ordinary dine-in service at a U.S. Outback restaurant that day.
Is Outback Open the Day Before Thanksgiving?
Wednesday, November 25, 2026, is not part of the reported nationwide Thanksgiving Day closure.
However, the chain has not established one universal opening and closing schedule for every restaurant on Thanksgiving Eve. Customers planning dinner that evening should confirm their preferred location’s hours.
Is Outback Open on Black Friday?
Black Friday falls on Friday, November 27, 2026.
The reported Thanksgiving closure does not automatically extend to Black Friday. Restaurant-specific operating hours should be checked before visiting, particularly if holiday staffing or other local circumstances affect the schedule.
Is Outback Steakhouse Open on Christmas Day 2026?
No. Outback Steakhouse is reported to be closed across its U.S. locations on Friday, December 25, 2026.
Christmas Day is one of the chain’s major annual closure dates.
Customers hoping to celebrate Christmas with an Outback meal should consider arranging a visit on another date and confirming the available operating hours.
Does Outback Steakhouse Open on Christmas Eve?
Christmas Eve falls on Thursday, December 24, 2026.
Some Outback restaurants operate on Christmas Eve with adjusted closing times. For example, the official location page for the Horsham, Pennsylvania, restaurant at 724 Blair Mill Road lists a Christmas Eve closing time of 9 p.m.
That is a location-specific notice, not a companywide 2026 Christmas Eve closing time. The restaurant’s current holiday schedule should be reconfirmed closer to December 24.
Can You Order Outback Takeout on Christmas Day?
Customers should not expect regular takeout service from U.S. Outback restaurants during the reported nationwide Christmas Day closure.
For Christmas Eve or surrounding dates, check the selected restaurant’s current ordering system. An ordinary pickup schedule does not guarantee availability during special holiday hours.
Is Outback Steakhouse Open on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day?
Outback Steakhouse does not have one publicly confirmed nationwide schedule covering every U.S. restaurant for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
New Year’s Eve Hours
New Year’s Eve falls on Thursday, December 31, 2026.
Restaurants may have different closing times from their usual Thursday schedules. There is no verified universal New Year’s Eve closing time that customers can rely on across all locations.
Anyone planning a late dinner should check whether the restaurant will remain open at the intended dining time.
New Year’s Day Hours
New Year’s Day 2027 falls on Friday, January 1.
The reported Thanksgiving and Christmas closures do not establish a New Year’s Day closure. Nevertheless, specific opening and closing times should be verified locally.
Does Outback Steakhouse Open on Easter and Other Holidays?
Outback serves customers on many dates throughout the year, including periods surrounding major federal holidays. However, regular operation at one location does not establish a guaranteed nationwide holiday schedule.
Easter Sunday
Easter Sunday fell on April 5 in 2026.
No universal Easter closing schedule was confirmed through the official U.S. location information reviewed. Customers planning an Easter meal should verify their restaurant’s Sunday schedule and any special holiday announcement.
Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day
These holidays fell on the following dates in 2026:
- Memorial Day: Monday, May 25
- Independence Day: Saturday, July 4
- Labor Day: Monday, September 7
The reported Thanksgiving and Christmas closures do not apply automatically to these holidays.
Local schedules remain the appropriate reference for opening and closing times.
Veterans Day
Veterans Day falls on Wednesday, November 11, 2026.
Customers considering a Veterans Day visit should check their selected Outback restaurant for its hours and any current promotion. A holiday dining offer, if advertised, should not be assumed to be available at every location.
Do Outback Steakhouse Holiday Hours Vary by Location?
Yes. Outback’s official U.S. location pages show different regular operating schedules, demonstrating why customers should not rely on a single national opening or closing time.
These variations matter especially when a restaurant operates on a holiday with possible adjusted hours.
Examples of Regular Operating Hours at U.S. Locations
The following official location schedules were reviewed in October 2026. They are regular hours, not confirmed holiday schedules.
| Restaurant Location | Regular Monday–Thursday Hours | Regular Friday–Saturday Hours | Regular Sunday Hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| Horsham, Pennsylvania | 11 a.m.–9:30 p.m. | 11 a.m.–10:30 p.m. | 11 a.m.–9 p.m. |
| Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 17th Street | 11 a.m.–10 p.m. | 11 a.m.–11 p.m. | 11 a.m.–10 p.m. |
| San Diego, California, Clairemont Mesa Boulevard | 11 a.m.–9 p.m. | 11 a.m.–10 p.m. | 11 a.m.–9 p.m. |
| Las Vegas, Nevada, Showcase Mall | 11 a.m.–10 p.m. | 11 a.m.–11 p.m. | 11 a.m.–10 p.m. |
These four locations illustrate meaningful differences in ordinary closing times across several U.S. states.
For example, the San Diego restaurant lists a 9 p.m. closing time on regular Thursdays, while the Fort Lauderdale location lists 10 p.m.
Those differences should not be interpreted as evidence of specific Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve hours.
Does Outback Steakhouse Close Early Before Major Holidays?
An early closing is possible on certain holiday eves, particularly Christmas Eve, but there is no verified chainwide reduced-hours timetable covering every location.
Customers should distinguish three situations:
- Regular operating hours: The schedule normally published for the restaurant.
- Special holiday hours: A temporary opening or closing schedule announced for a holiday.
- Nationwide holiday closures: Companywide closing dates, such as the reported 2026 Thanksgiving and Christmas Day closures.
A restaurant’s normal weekday closing time should not be used as proof that it will remain open until that time on a holiday.
Outback Steakhouse Holiday Menu and Ordering Availability
Outback Steakhouse offers its regular restaurant menu through its official dining and ordering channels, with availability tied to the selected location.
Holiday operating hours do not automatically mean that a special holiday menu, discount, or promotion will be available.
Can You Order the Regular Menu on Holidays?
When an Outback location is operating, customers can review its available menu through the official restaurant page or ordering system.
However, specific dishes, prices, and ordering options depend on what the restaurant currently offers.
Does Outback Offer a Special Thanksgiving or Christmas Menu?
A nationwide 2026 Thanksgiving or Christmas holiday menu was not confirmed through the official U.S. information reviewed.
Customers should not assume Outback offers a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas meal package, or holiday discount unless the restaurant specifically advertises it.
Are Holiday Takeout and Delivery Available?
Outback’s official location pages identify services such as online ordering, curbside takeaway, and delivery at certain restaurants.
Availability differs by location.
Even when these services are normally offered, their schedules and availability during holidays may change. Customers should confirm that an order can actually be placed for the intended date and time.
How to Check Outback Steakhouse Holiday Hours Near You
The best way to avoid confusion is to verify the exact restaurant you want to visit.
- Use Outback’s official location finder. Search by city, state, or ZIP code.
- Open your selected restaurant’s page. Review its published hours and any holiday-specific notices.
- Check the official ordering system. This can help determine whether pickup or other advertised ordering options are available for the intended date.
- Call the restaurant directly. Ask about the holiday’s opening time, closing time, and available services.
- Use Google Maps as a secondary reference. Check for special holiday hours, but prioritize direct restaurant confirmation if information conflicts.
For Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, pay particular attention to national closure announcements rather than relying solely on the regular weekly timetable.

Sources & Verification
This guide was reviewed in October 2026 using Outback Steakhouse’s official U.S. restaurant locator and individual location pages, including restaurants in Pennsylvania, Florida, California, and Nevada.
The Thanksgiving and Christmas Day 2026 nationwide closures were also reported by national retail and restaurant-hours coverage published in October 2026. The official Horsham, Pennsylvania, location page included a Christmas Eve closing notice, but its year-specific applicability requires reconfirmation.
Where a companywide holiday schedule could not be established, this guide identifies the need for local verification rather than assigning an unsupported opening or closing time.
