Costco Hours 2026: Opening, Closing & Holiday Times

Planning a trip to Costco? Knowing the correct Costco hours can help you avoid arriving before your warehouse opens or after it closes. Most U.S. Costco warehouses follow a regular weekly schedule, but opening times differ depending on your membership type, location, and day of the week.

Costco also operates gas stations, pharmacies, tire centers, optical departments, and food courts that may have different schedules from the main warehouse.

This updated 2026 guide covers Costco opening and closing times, Sunday hours, Executive Member early shopping, gas station and pharmacy hours, holiday closures, and how to check your nearest location before visiting.

Quick Answer

Most regular U.S. Costco warehouses open for Gold Star and Business Members at 10:00 AM Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM Saturday, and 10:00 AM Sunday. Executive Members can generally enter at 9:00 AM every day.

Typical closing times are 8:30 PM on weekdays, 7:00 PM on Saturday, and 6:00 PM on Sunday.

These hours are confirmed on multiple official Costco warehouse pages, but individual locations can have different schedules. Special holiday hours and department hours should always be checked separately.

Costco Hours at a Glance

The main warehouse times reflect schedules published by Costco for regular U.S. warehouse locations checked on October 30, 2026.

What Time Does Costco Open and Close?

Costco generally operates seven days a week, with shorter hours on weekends than on weekdays.

For most shoppers, the key difference is between regular warehouse opening times and earlier access reserved for Executive Members.

Costco Hours Monday Through Friday

Most regular Costco warehouses open at 10:00 AM and close at 8:30 PM, Monday through Friday, for Gold Star and Business Members.

Executive Members generally receive early access starting at 9:00 AM.

The weekday schedule is consistent across the official warehouse pages reviewed in California, Texas, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, and Oklahoma.

Costco Saturday Hours

Costco warehouses commonly open at 9:30 AM for Gold Star and Business Members on Saturday and close at 7:00 PM.

Executive Members can generally begin shopping at 9:00 AM.

Saturday has an earlier closing time than weekdays, so shoppers should not assume Costco remains open until 8:30 PM.

Costco Sunday Hours

Most regular Costco warehouses open at 10:00 AM and close at 6:00 PM on Sunday.

Executive Members generally have access beginning at 9:00 AM.

Sunday is particularly important for shoppers using warehouse services because some departments, including pharmacies, may be closed even while the warehouse itself remains open.

Costco Hours by Day

The following table shows the regular schedules published by the Costco warehouses reviewed.

Important: This is a verified schedule shared by several regular U.S. warehouses, not a guarantee for every Costco location. Special warehouse formats and individual branches may use different operating times.

Costco Executive Member Early Shopping Hours

Costco provides earlier warehouse access for Executive Members.

The company introduced exclusive early shopping hours on June 30, 2025, and its current warehouse pages continue to display separate opening times for Executive Members.

What Time Can Executive Members Enter Costco?

At the regular warehouses reviewed, Executive Member shopping begins at:

• Monday through Friday: 9:00 AM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM
• Sunday: 9:00 AM

Regular Gold Star and Business Members enter later according to the standard warehouse schedule.

How Much Earlier Can Executive Members Shop?

Executive Member early access affects when eligible members can enter the warehouse. It does not mean every separate department or service opens at 9:00 AM.

Check your warehouse’s official listing for early-access eligibility and operating times.

Costco Gas Station Hours

Costco gas stations often open before the main warehouse and close later, making their schedules useful for members who want fuel outside regular shopping hours.

However, gas station hours are listed separately from warehouse operating hours.

The following schedule is confirmed for Costco gas stations at the Galleria warehouse in Houston, Texas, and the City of Industry warehouse in California.

These are location-specific examples, not a universal gas station timetable.

Does Costco Gas Open Before the Warehouse?

Yes. At the reviewed Houston and California locations, gas stations open several hours before regular warehouse shopping begins.

For example, the Galleria Houston gas station opens at 6:00 AM on weekdays, while regular Gold Star and Business Member warehouse shopping starts at 10:00 AM.

At City of Industry, California, the gas station opens at 5:30 AM on weekdays.

What Time Does Costco Gas Close?

At the reviewed locations, gas stations close at:

• 10:00 PM on weekdays
• 8:30 PM on Saturday
• 7:30 PM on Sunday

Other locations may have different hours.

Do not rely on the main warehouse closing time when planning a fuel stop. Select the Gas Station section on your specific Costco location page.

Costco Pharmacy Hours

Costco pharmacy hours can differ significantly from regular warehouse hours.

A pharmacy may open before the main shopping area, close earlier, or remain closed on a day when the warehouse is open.

What Time Does Costco Pharmacy Open?

The Galleria Houston, Texas, Costco pharmacy lists these hours:

These pharmacy hours are also listed at the City of Industry, California, warehouse.

However, other Costco pharmacies have different closing times.

For example, the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, warehouse lists pharmacy hours of 9:00 AM to 8:30 PM on weekdays and 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Saturday.

Is Costco Pharmacy Open on Sunday?

The pharmacies reviewed in Houston, City of Industry, Harrisburg, and Cranberry Township all list Sunday as closed.

That does not establish a universal schedule for every Costco pharmacy.

Customers needing prescriptions on Sunday should check the pharmacy hours at their specific location rather than relying on general warehouse hours.

Does Costco Pharmacy Close for Lunch?

Some Costco pharmacy location pages explain that the pharmacy may close for 30 minutes between 1:30 PM and 2:30 PM when only one pharmacist is on duty.

This is a conditional interruption, not a confirmed daily lunch closure at every pharmacy.

If you need a prescription at a specific time, contact the pharmacy directly.

Costco Tire Center Hours

Costco Tire Centers provide a separate service that may follow warehouse opening and closing hours.

Current official pages for the City of Industry and Galleria Houston locations indicate that Tire Center operating hours for Executive, Gold Star, and Business Members match the regular warehouse hours.

The locations also recommend appointments.

What Time Does Costco Tire Center Close?

At these reviewed warehouses, the listed Tire Center schedule follows the warehouse:

These times should not be assumed for every Tire Center.

The time a department closes is also not necessarily the latest time an appointment or new service request can begin.

Check appointment availability before traveling for tire installation or maintenance.

Costco Food Court Hours

Costco food courts are located at many warehouses, but an independently published nationwide food court schedule is not confirmed.

Costco’s official location pages identify food courts as individual warehouse services. Some provide a dedicated department phone number rather than separate operating hours.

Costco’s customer-service guidance explains that a service showing only a phone number follows the warehouse’s hours.

However, anyone planning to purchase food near opening or closing time should confirm service availability at the chosen warehouse.

Is the Costco Food Court Open on Sunday?

The reviewed warehouses list food courts and are open on Sunday.

For example, the Galleria Houston warehouse lists Sunday shopping hours through 6:00 PM.

This supports Sunday warehouse access but does not independently guarantee that every food court item or service will remain available until closing.

Does the Costco Food Court Serve Breakfast?

Costco does not publish a universal breakfast-service schedule for its U.S. food courts.

Its regular food court operation should not be confused with a dedicated restaurant breakfast period.

Check the current food court menu at your selected warehouse if you are looking for food early in the morning.

Costco Holiday Hours 2026

Costco holiday hours deserve special attention because regular warehouse schedules do not necessarily apply on federal holidays or major shopping days.

Costco’s official warehouse finder displays upcoming holiday closures and adjusted hours for individual locations.

Costco Holiday Schedule for 2026

The table deliberately separates the verified Thanksgiving closures from dates whose 2026 operating hours were not individually confirmed during this review.

Is Costco Open on Thanksgiving 2026?

No, the regular U.S. Costco warehouses reviewed officially list Thursday, November 26, 2026, as closed.

This closure is displayed on Costco’s current location pages for warehouses including Galleria Houston, City of Industry, Cranberry Township, and Oklahoma City.

These verified listings provide strong evidence of Costco’s Thanksgiving closure schedule for regular U.S. warehouses.

For unusual warehouse formats or locations outside the United States, check the specific location.

Is Costco Open on Christmas Eve 2026?

Christmas Eve falls on Thursday, December 24, 2026.

The exact Christmas Eve opening and closing times were not confirmed in the location pages reviewed.

Because holiday schedules may differ from regular Thursday hours, do not assume that Costco will remain open until its usual 8:30 PM closing time.

Is Costco Open on Christmas Day 2026?

Christmas Day falls on Friday, December 25, 2026.

The current official location pages reviewed did not yet provide a confirmed Christmas Day schedule. Check your warehouse’s holiday listing before making plans.

Is Costco Open on New Year’s Eve 2026?

New Year’s Eve falls on Thursday, December 31, 2026.

A standard Thursday schedule should not be treated as confirmation of New Year’s Eve hours. Your warehouse’s official holiday information is the appropriate source for any adjusted closing time.

Do Costco Hours Vary by Location?

Yes. Costco explicitly states in its customer-service guidance that warehouse schedules can have slight differences.

Variations are particularly important for gas stations, pharmacies, and specialty departments.

Verified Costco Location Hours Comparison

The following regular warehouses were checked using Costco’s official location information on October 30, 2026.

All five sampled warehouses also list Executive Member access beginning at 9:00 AM daily.

Although these five warehouses share the same regular shopping hours, important service differences appear when examining individual departments.

How Department Hours Differ Between Locations

This comparison highlights why Costco shopping hours alone cannot establish when a pharmacy or gas station is available.

The table represents five specific locations across five states, not every Costco warehouse in the country.

Costco Business Center Hours

Costco Business Centers should be distinguished from regular Costco warehouses.

They are a separate warehouse format, so customers should not automatically apply the standard Costco shopping schedule to a Business Center.

To find the correct opening and closing times, search for the specific Business Center in Costco’s official warehouse finder.

Confirm that the selected result is the Business Center you plan to visit rather than a nearby regular Costco warehouse.

Costco Optical Department Hours

Costco locations may offer optical departments and independent optometrist services.

The official warehouse pages reviewed list Optical Departments among available services, often with department-specific telephone numbers.

Costco’s customer-service guidance says that services displaying only a telephone number follow warehouse hours.

However, an optical department’s opening hours should not be interpreted as the availability of an eye examination.

Eye examinations and other appointment-based services may have separate scheduling requirements.

For an optical purchase, contact the department if a specific service is essential. For an eye examination, confirm appointment availability with the relevant provider.

Costco Hours for Shopping, Gas, and Services

Here is a practical comparison of the different Costco schedules using the Galleria Houston, Texas, warehouse.

Location: Costco Galleria, 3836 Richmond Avenue, Houston, TX 77027.

Verified: October 30, 2026, using Costco’s published location schedule.

This example illustrates three important differences: Executive Members can enter before standard members, gas stations may remain open after the warehouse closes, and pharmacies may be unavailable on Sunday.

How to Check Costco Hours Near You

The most reliable way to find current Costco hours is to use the company’s official warehouse information.

1. Use Costco’s Warehouse Finder

Visit Costco’s official website and choose Find a Warehouse.

Enter your city, state, or ZIP code, then select the warehouse you intend to visit.

Review the displayed opening and closing times, including any separate Executive Member hours.

2. Check Specific Department Hours

After selecting a warehouse, review its listed services.

Look for separate schedules for:

• Gas Station
• Pharmacy
• Tire Service Center
• Optical Department
• Food Court

Costco explains that services listing only a phone number follow the warehouse’s hours, but that does not guarantee appointments or specific items will be available throughout those hours.

3. Use the Costco Mobile App

Costco confirms that its mobile app provides access to location information and warehouse operating hours.

Use it to identify your selected warehouse and review the schedule before traveling.

4. Call the Warehouse Directly

Calling is especially useful when you need confirmation of holiday hours, a department’s availability, or an appointment-related service.

The official location page provides the warehouse telephone number and, where available, direct department numbers.

5. Use Google Maps as a Secondary Check

Google Maps can help identify nearby Costco locations and provide operating information.

However, the hours shown there should be compared with Costco’s official schedule, particularly during holidays.

A general warehouse listing does not necessarily show separate pharmacy, gas station, or Executive Member hours.
